Description: Printed by George Smith, Liverpool. 1828. Small 4to, [ii],21,[1]pp., 24 hand-coloured lithographed plates, numbered in contemporary hand on verso of plates, cont. floral embossed cloth, title stamped in gilt on upper cover. Originally issued, without text, in 1827 as unbound leaves of plates in box, with the following statement on the box “The first fifty pounds arising from the sale of this work will be given to the Ladies’ Society for promoting the early education and improvement of the Children of Negroes, and of people of Color in the British West Indies.” Not listed on Copac.
