The rare sale catalogue of the “handsomely bound” library of a late seventeenth-century Dutch divine whom a contemporary manuscript note qualifies as “Pontificiis sacris addictus.” Cromhout may have been a descendant of the sixteenth-century Adriaan who played an important role in the liberation of the Netherlands (see ADB).Only 2 other copies recorded; Bibliothek Wolfenbuttel & Bibliotheque National de France.
