Paris: Place de l'Estrapade, No 28. 4to (280 x 218 mm), 61 leaves printed on a thin wove paper, 3 preliminary leaves (title page, notice to printers and booksellers, price list) followed by 58 specimens leaves printed on recto only, comprising: the first 24 leaves consisting of type specimens, the next 16 leaves show 219 fleurons (THIS SECTION LACKS 2 LEAVES), followed by 18 leaves (THIS SECTION LACKING ONE LEAF) depicting 249 engraved vignettes, some copies are known to include up to four single sheet broadsides of specimens but these appear to have been added at a later date, sewn in original blue printed wrappers, some light staining and tears to spine of wrappers, uncut. The only specimen book issued by this little known typefounder, according to the title page he was the nephew and successor of P. F. Didot. Although this copy appear to lack 3 leaves (with no signs of having been bound in), the three known copies (Cambridge University, Houghton Library and the Bibliotheque Nationale de France) vary in format and contents.
