Dove, First edition, folio (395 x 270 mm), vii, [1], 263pp., LARGE PAPER COPY, 29 of 30 engraved plates and tables (the missing plate is that of the author's father), some light browning to plates, contemporary half calf, rebacked, untrimmed. Learned account of this great house of the Kytsons which went by decent to a cadet branch of the Gage family of Firle in Sussex. The contents were sold in 1897 when it was bought by Sir John Wood who made some effort to restore the interior to its original appearance before the alterations of the eighteenth-century.
