[London: Sherwood, Jones and Co., 8vo (230 x 145 mm), 16pp., caption-title, 5 engraved plates, title vignette, recent marbled endpapers and red cloth, title in gilt on upper cover. A separately printed issue from the first monthly part of the first volume of the second series of J. P. Neale's Views of the Seats of Noblemen and Gentlemen, published in parts between 1824 and 1829. This extract, similar to the work on Blenheim and Thomas Hope's house at The Deepdene, Surrey, was plainly intended for sale separately, all of which have numbered pages. Only these three from the numerous country houses featured in Neale's Seats were distinguished by separate publications of this nature. Some copies have a separately title leaf printed, as well as a dedication leaf, but not present here. Provenance: From the library of Josceline Grove, with bookplate and their typed catalogue description pasted to front endpapers. Holmes, p.104; Cooper II, p.98.
