Sold by Ridgway. First Edition, 35,[1]pp., disbound. The anonymous author of this volume "dedicatee his work to Sir John Sinclair, Foster Father of Agriculture... His universal compost was a substitute for manure and could be manufactured by everyone at small expense to supply the deficiency which existed all over the United Kingdom."—Fussell.
